29 Nov. The Heroine’s Journey in Paris: Meeting Heroines

29 November Meeting Heroines in Paris

What happens when women who have never met start talking about the stories they are living?

Have you ever had a conversation with a woman you had just met that stayed with you for years?

A conversation in which you discovered something unexpected about her — and perhaps something unexpected about yourself?

A conversation that made you think differently about your work, your choices, your courage or the next chapter of your life?

Meeting Heroines is an afternoon of conversations with women you don’t yet know.

Our premise is simple: meaningful conversations don’t have to be rare or accidental. Give people a relaxed atmosphere, a little time and questions that go beyond small talk, and something interesting happens.

You begin to discover the story behind the person.

And perhaps your own story becomes clearer too.

Your conversations

During the afternoon you will have a series of short conversations with different women.

Instead of the usual networking questions — What do you do? Where do you work? — you will explore questions from Peter de Kuster’s Heroine’s Journey.

Questions such as:

  • What story are you living right now?
  • What first called you towards the life or work you are living today?
  • Was there a moment that changed the course of your story?
  • What has been one of the greatest challenges in your journey?
  • What did that experience teach you about yourself?
  • Who has been a heroine, hero, mentor or inspiration in your life?
  • What part of yourself have you discovered along the way?
  • What story are you ready to leave behind?
  • What story do you want to write next?
  • What advice would you give to another woman standing where you once stood?

You don’t have to have extraordinary answers.

You simply have to be willing to tell the truth about your story — and be curious about someone else’s.

From stranger to heroine

Every woman has a story.

There was a beginning.
There was a call.
There were choices and challenges.
There were people who helped her.
There were moments when she had to find her own voice.
And there is always another chapter waiting to be written.

Meeting Heroines gives you the opportunity to discover those stories in unexpected places — and to discover the heroine in yourself.

This is not a dating event and it is not conventional networking.

It is an invitation to meet women as human beings first — and professionals, entrepreneurs, creators, mothers, leaders, travellers, artists or whatever they happen to be second.
