What is the best thing that I love about my work?

My color palette and use of different mediums.

What is my idea of happiness?

Happiness is fulfilment, laughter and positivity. It’s being in a state that is stress-free. A comfortable environment, full of love, energy and good vibes.

What is my greatest fear?

Physical ailments, memory loss

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

I am a Renaissance woman, full of curiosity, humor and many areas of talented expression in the arts.

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?

I really admire the works of the female painter Julie Mehretu and female photographer Catherine Opie, who actually taught me photography while I was at UCLA.

What is my greatest extravagance?

My eye for detail and the attention I pay to fashion, decor and architecture.

On what occasion would I lie?

I’d probably lie to help save someone’s life.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

I dislike the way that I wish to be rid of my pieces once I have made them. Once I have expelled my creativity, I do not wish to sit with the work I have just made for too long. Always onto the next.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

I was certainly very happy when I was in an artist Residency in the South of France in 2020, living in a castle overlooking the sea with my own painting studio. The work I made during that time period is very special. Yet, more happy times are coming!

If I could, what would I change about myself?

Self love is very important. Work on loving oneself, rather than focusing on change. We are beautiful creatures of the earth.

What is my greatest achievement in work?

Being a part of the LA Art show was a great achievement. My international artist residencies have also been spectacular. I have been proud of my solo painting shows, particularly my recent solo show in Las Vegas.

Where would I most like to live?

Italy, Morocco, London, Los Angeles… how can I pick one?

What is my most treasured possession?

My passport.

What is my most marked characteristic?

My energy

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

The vibrant art scene, the many wonderful museums here in Los Angeles.

What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city?

A nice Italian meal with a glass of red wine at L’antica Da Michele.

What books influenced my life and how?

The Alchemist. It reminds me to live in the present and to always be looking out for omens, good or bad.

Kanye West – full discography.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?

Harry Potter

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?

Women who are passionate in their community, making an impact in the world. I can’t choose just one, but I have many friends, family and celebrities I would consider my heroines.

Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime?

Harry Potter

What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ mean to me?

I believe that life is a performance. You are the actor in your life, you control your actions. You have the ability to create the life that you wish to live. I believe that 50% of life is fate, and 50% is what you make it. Be the best version of yourself, have no limitations.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

My grandparents, Barbara and Norman Rozansky. Love you both

Which people or companies would I like to work with in 2022?

I would love to work with more creatives, in music and in fashion.

I would love to collaborate with fashion brands such as Off- White, Adidas, Supreme, Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton

and musical artists such as:

Kanye West, Abba, Lil Dicky, Beyonce, Cardi B, Adele.

I would love to collaborate with genius comedian Larry David, and have him attend one of my painting classes.

What project, in 2022, am I looking forward to work on?

I am looking forward to  being a part of an Art/ Music showcase in collaboration with a female singer. The show will be in four parts, every season this year, taking place in Los Angeles. 

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me?

If you are passionate about what you want to work on in life, your work will never stop. I do not believe that creativity has a time-stamp. There is always more to make.
